Eurocamp Parcs

For the second year running we have invited our parc owners to enter our 'Eco-Conscious Awards', designed to rate 'green' initiatives implemented by each parc, such as recycling or energy reduction ideas.

The winners received a Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze Award.

We are pleased to announce that Eurocamp received the prestigious 5-star award for responsible tourism for its efforts in protecting the environment, conserving natural resources and minimising pollution.

Carbon Capture and Storage with the Woodland Trust

We can reduce the amount of CO² from the atmosphere; using nature's own tried and tested form of carbon capture and storage - the humble tree.

That is why Eurocamp is working with the Woodland Trust to fund the planting of native trees to take the CO² from the atmosphere, and provide woodland for people and wildlife to enjoy here in the UK.

Our Five Year Plan

To further support our environmentally friendly practises, Eurocamp has developed a five year plan, covering: -

Energy and Waste - including reducing energy consumption at all of our Eurocamp offices and ensuring that, in the future, energy saving devices will be fitted as standard in all of our accommodation.

Transportation - ensuring our accommodation inventory is sourced as locally as possible.

Alternative materials - ensuring our accommodation is made from recycled materials where possible.

New product development - promoting the use of rail to reach your holiday destination and bicycles rather than the car when on holiday.

FSC Certification

At Eurocamp (part of Holidaybreak PLC) we take responsible toursim very seriously and support activities and projects to protect and restore the natural environment. That's why we have worked hard to achieve Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) certification and as such we are one of the only Tour Operators in the world to have achieved this coveted status.

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international organisation that brings people together to set international standards for responsible forest management. All of our brochures are printed on FSC paper. Paper certified under this scheme means that it was produced by responsible mills, with the minimum impact on the environment. Find out more at www.fsc.org.
