Walking holidays are becoming more and more popular these days as people have increasingly become more aware of the beauty that is all around us.
Our recommended parcs are in the perfect locations for nature lovers of all ages.
Eurocamp has selected two of its best parcs, set amongst stunning scenery, to offer spectacular walking and wildlife tours, run by knowledgeable guides equipped with local experience.
The guided walks generally take place 5 days per week with up to 2 walks per day and are rated to match your individual ability. For details of what service is available at each parc and when, please see below.
Walkers will appreciate the beautiful scenic foothills around Camping Les Fontaines that provide high and low walks for all abilities, plus there is an excellent cycle trail nearby and stunning Alpine flora. The town of Doussard is 3km away and here you will find shops, a bar and restaurant.
The parc is also close to beautiful Lake Annecy itself, ideal for all kinds of watersports. Either take the ferry and drive to the parc, drinking in much of the French countryside en-route, or fly to one of the nearby airports, Chambery or Geneva.
A Walking and Wildlife guide will be available on-parc between 14th May - 15th June and 1st - 7th September 2013, providing a range of walks around the local area.
A home to many species of wildlife and fauna including Griffons, Eagles, Pine Marten, Wild Boar and over 20 species of orchid, Val de Cantobre is an ideal walking and wildlife holiday.
Set in a rugged and lofty position, Val de Cantobre is a true nature lover's paradise, with spectacular views, stunning photographic opportunities and some remarkable bird-watching locations, as well as a whole host of other walking and wildlife-related activites.
Reaching Val de Cantobre is now easier than ever, with the Millau Viaduct providing great access, whilst surrounded by the absolutely stunning Tam Gorges and the Cévennes National Park right on the doorstep. The terraced pitches on the parc, although relatively steep, allow magnificent views looking out towards the nearby village of Cantobre, which is nestled on the rock face and a sight that just has to be seen.
The parc is absolutely perfect for people looking for a birdwatching, walking or wildlife holiday, and is sure to leave you with a collection of memories and photographs that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
A Walking and Wildlife guide will be available on-parc between 4th May - 21st June and 1st - 7th September 2013, providing a range of walks around the local area.
While Les Fontaines and Val de Cantobre are specially-picked for the Walking and Wildlife notes and experts, there are a host of other parcs which are perfect for a walking holiday including the following four parcs; all of which offer the standards you'd expect from Eurocamp, set against a stunning backdrop of hills, mountains and unspoilt countryside.
Set on the edge of a National Park in the heart of the spectacular Pyrénées mountains, Airotel Pyrénées couldn't be better located. You will be spoilt for choice, with an abundance of walking and cycling routes, giving you maximum opportunity to take in some outstanding sights.
A feast for the eyes, Camping Jungfrau in Lauterbrunnen nestles contentedly in a picturesque valley, surrounded by stunning waterfalls, snow-capped mountains and lush green countryside. You will find many walking routes on the parc doorstep, waiting to be explored.

Sportcamp Woferlgut at Zell Am See is situated in the 'Sports Capital of Austria', naturally meaning there are plenty of activities to choose from - including of course, a long list of walking paths. Explore the area on foot, taking in countless waterfalls, unspoilt countryside and endless views of the mountains. Or if it's a relaxing stroll you're in the mood for, why not do so in nearby Zell Am See, around its crystal clear shimmering lake?
