Camping in Normandy

Camping in Normandy offers a richness and variety of landscape that is perhaps unrivalled in France. From the wild craggy, granite coastline to the long sandy beaches and chalk cliffs of the south, from the ancient beech forests of the east to the apple orchards of calvados, Normandy offers a wealth of quiet village and unspoilt countryside. The lovely sandy beach at Fermanville is worth visiting. Nearby you can visit calvados and cider museums at Valognes where you can taste liqueurs and apple brandy or the fishing port at Barfleur. Take a trip into Cherbourg where you will find La Cité de la Mer, the largest aquarium in Europe. Bayeux, famous for its tapestry, is within reach whilst camping in Normandy.
