- Park well maintained, swimming pools excellent and with easy access to the beach. Life guards on duty at both pools and beach. There is no where to sit at the pools or beach(ground only) so buy a lilo from the poundshop at home and pump it up at the air station at the trolleys outside the camp shop, its FREE.
Eurocamp caravans quite close together but each one had good sized deck to sit out on. We had a two bed for the five of us which was a bit cramped so I would recommend maybe the three bed to get a bit more room. The two bed also has limited storage for all the nicks and nacks you take on holiday.
The camp is enclosed by trees so you will have little chance to sunbathe at the caravan. Great if you want to relax on the deck without getting burnt or too hot
The park is sprayed each week to kill the dreaded mozzies and we sat out each night til 1am enjoying the warm weather without being bothered with just a citronella candle to keep them away. The mozzies were very active in CaSavio town at night so cover up to prevent bites.
There are several good restuarants within walking distance from the camp like Villa Gentile and Fungherriti(right before you reach the camp gate) and O Sole Mio heading out of CaSavio towards Cavallnini had great food and the pizzas were massive.
Punta Sabbioni is 5 mins away by car or the bus.
Eurocamp had kids clubs twice a day six days a week. 7 year old enjoyed it but our 9 year old said he was a little bored.
Met by the Eurocamp team leader on arrival and she showed us to our caravan cycling in front of the car in torrential rain. Felt guilty coz she got soaked thru.
Bring a rain coat as even though it gets v warm during the day the heavens can open very quickly at night which we found out to our cost one night and got drenched literally in a couple of seconds. Thunder and lightning storms happened frequently at night which are spectacular to watch from the safety of your caravan.
There is a supermarket on the road to Treporti about 100m from the crossroads in the centre of CaSavio which is a lot cheaper than the site market.
Siesta between 3-5pm and from 11pm meant it was very peaceful. We were surprised one night by the camp security doing their rounds to check no one was making noise after 11pm as he came out of the darkness at 1am. Luckily we were only chatting!
Great place to stay for couples and families. There is entertainment on each night and there is a mini golf course, bouncy castles and high ropes each costing £3 to use.
Sea depth very shallow so you can relax and let the kids play in the water.
