3 km away from the vibrant Playa d’Aro has excellent bars, shops and restaurants, as well as activities for children. It's a beautiful town but not quite as spectacular as the uninhabited Mendes Islands – a boat trip to see them is highly recommended, as is scuba diving there.

For those with a passion for art the Dali Museum at Figueres is not to be missed. The building was designed by Dali around the old municipal theatre and it is filled with around 1500 pieces of his work.
You'll find interesting architecture in abundance if you take a day trip to Barcelona. In just over 100 km you will be greeted with a shadowy old town and elegant Gaudi-lined boulevards. It's one of the world’s most cultured cities with a host of splendid places to visit.
For historical attractions you don’t have to travel far at all. The Benedormiens Castle is only 4 km away and is the cultural centre of the area. The ancient city of Girona is also less than 40 km away.
A spectacular water park with plenty for the whole family to enjoy – there are lots of rides and slides, as well as Kiddie Island and Llac Infantil. Plus you'll get a free pass for Waterworld, which is particularly exciting for teenagers and daredevils because of rides like the X-Treme Mountain and Kamikaze.
For the older ones Can Garriga Paintball is a fun afternoon. You'll spend two hours running around battling against the other team and dodging the paintballs. Quad biking is also on offer here. On a rainy day, Magic Park will keep you dry and entertained for hours on end: there's an artificial ice rink, a children’s assault course, dodgems, arcade games, and a casino for the adults. All ages welcome.
