Had a fantastic holiday at Playa Montroig. It's a peaceful park, quite rural but with a beach and easy access to buses. The surrounding area is beautiful; gorgeous beaches, stunning countryside, great markets and friendly locals. We used hire bikes to tour about - the third year we've done this.

The holiday was great. The only things we could complainant was when we arrived it was after 11am at night and there was a hostile security guard that could only speak Spanish. No English at all and we didn't speak Spanish so was not very good welcome or first start especially when we were assured that someone that cld speak English would be there to welcome us. Second complaint would be the fact that there is no loungers at the poolside so you had to lie/sit on the grass and you were then attacked by a million ants. We lost count of the times we got bitten by the ants. The accomodation was lovely, nice and clean and central. The park had great facilities even though some were closed when we were there. The pools were great and always clean.

This was the worst holiday i have ever been on. The resort itself is very isolated, although they do advise you hire a car, but we assumed there would be some sort of life about without having to go too far. A train runs straight through the camp, which is pretty scruffy compared to other eurocamps. Their was not much for English speaking visitors to do. Kids club was all in spanish with the leaders knowing very small English. The reps never came to advise us of the toys etc in their van for us to use with our son. Infact we saw them on the first evening after they sent a text to my mobile at the airport, to say they had to go off sight, only for us to stumble across them sitting having a nice wee drink in somebody elses van as we were trying to find our caravan. The park itself is aimed for the spanish holiday makers. I would not advise this camp for anyone other than the Spanish.

The parc is amazing, one of the most beautiful there is. A lovely pool, nice beach and a great family atmosphere - perfect for families with small children.
