Days Out

Canevawold, Movieland

Canevaworld is also an epic amusement park, with roller coasters, a water park and extraordinary shows all on one complex. It is the home to Movieland Studios which hosts lots of stunt shows and thrilling rides, Aqualand, which is designed to be fun in a relaxed atmosphere, and the Medieval Times Show.

Gardaland is one of the area’s most popular attractions and it is one of the largest theme parks in Europe. It has rides and shows for all ages including Fantasy Kingdom for children and the thrilling Blue Tornado roller coaster for the adrenaline seekers.

Porto Portese

Porto Portese

Take in the breathtaking views of Lake Garda from picturesque Salò and the pretty lakeside town of Porto Portese, where its lake ferry takes you to other towns around the lake.

Closer to the parc is the popular holiday resort of Sirmione, which is a historic town dominated by the 13th century Rocca Scagliara castele, whose ramparts offer spectacular views over the town and surrounding countryside. The largest town on the lake, Desenzano del Garda, is also close by. It has historic streets and a peaceful harbour, but it is a hotspot for partying, eating and drinking in local bars.

Venture to the atmospheric Verona which is famous for the largest operatic theatre in the world and Juliet’s balcony from one of the greatest love stories ever told. You can easily spend an afternoon simply wandering the narrow streets or exploring the town’s museums and churches; there is as much or as little as you wish to do here.
