This camp is run by the local council. The area we were in was dated and in need of a refurbishment. The wash block was dirty and the toilets were often blocked. The lake itself is lovely and if you are an active family there are lots of walks and bike rides in the area.

We stayed in a safari tent. It was well equIpped. However, it was tucked away in a poor location. A lakeside location would have preferable.

Overall I would not recommend this campsite.

Unfortunately the weather was awful and certainly put a damper on things. The parc would be more appreciated with better weather.

We absolutely loved the holiday in this stunning parc. The lake and natural surroundings were magical and the free use of canoes saved us £100s. The loos and shower facilities could be better as one block had no hot water for washing up and the unisex toilets were a bit odd but they were cleaned regularly and we never had to queue. One thing I would say is that while the reps were helpful when needed it would have been good to have a weekly communal event for eurocamp customers like a bring your own bbq. The site is quite big and there weren't many English children so our children aged 9 and 11 would have appreciated an easy way to meet others. Having said that it was nice to have them around with us on the lake and going gor walks.

Great Parc, plenty to do, friendly, not overly expensive, pools were great (Have to wear speedos guys) Lake was warm and safe, thought i was going to be driving around France looking for Zoo's etc to visit but the car didnt move for a week
We camped (Glamped) Tent was large and clean, shower blocks were cleaned twice a day and Modern, we did have 1 massive thunderstorm but even that was exciting
I only marked the courier as a 6, though maybe thats a little unfair, we didnt really need to see them, we did see them when we checked in and you could borrow tennis, badmington, games stuff from them FOC, they also rode round the morning after the massive storm to make sure everyone was ok.
Would go back here for sure, toll roads cost 50euros each way but they were excellent
My only gripe was the kids Disco, the music was rubbish (Rave music seriously) and far far too loud, my 8yr old constantly had her fingers in her ears and eventually would only dance outside where the volume was more bearable (it was supposed to be for Kids)
But in the big scheme hardly a major problem

We had a lovely relaxing time at Lac du Chaleine, although being prepared for the changes in weather helps! The surroundings and the lake are beautiful and picturesque, giving lots of opportunities to get out and about on foot and bicycle. We would definitely recommend it to other families who enjoy and outdoors holiday, and will be coming back.

A lovely site (when you find it) with great facilities. It is a large site, but not cramped like some. We were only there one night, but would have liked to have stayed longer to explore the site a little more.
