Great For...

  • Full on Fun

Handy for the airport, and the region’s wine capital

Capital of the Languedoc wine industry, Béziers is a town with charm to spare, and too many tempting bistros to mention. You’ll soon find your favourite, though - perhaps in the tightly knit warren of lanes in its medieval core.

Domaine de la Yole could well become your favourite parc too. With its landscaped swimming pool complex offering four pools and a glorious, shelving sandy beach just a short walk away, it’s a parc that’s ready-made for family fun. It’s also home to a variety of activities including crazy golf and cycle hire, plus a mini farm for little ones and even a vineyard where you can sample the estate’s delicious wines. There is also a large bar with terrace, which is a popular place for rounding off the day.

The camp was very large and was packed when we first arrived. Luckily as it was the end of the season numbers reduced rapidly and the last week was fine. The mobile home was quite tired. The bedding and cushions on the seating area were filthy. Following complaint to the rep new bedding was supplied and we decided to stay. The rep sorted out gas etc quickly and was pleasant but had little local knowledge.
The bakery was super and the staff in the bakery, shops, and animations were good. Swimming pool staff seemed surly and imposed strange rules of not wearing long swimming trunks and shoes whilst wearing exactly those things. Maintenance staff traveled around on golf buggies went far too fast and did not give way to guests. I am sure that many guests would find this site just right but it was not my cup of tea

On arrival we had to wait 20 minutes for your rep to arrive at the meeting point to give us our key, after putting a number of circles on the map we where sent on our way to find our van which was very difficult to find.
Once we finally found our van we thought we where given the wrong van because on the outside table it was piled up with the previous guests food we had to ring the rep and wait another 10 minutes for her to arrive and tell us that the van was indeed ours, the girl then went on to blame the other rep for not doing her job.
The food outside was taken away and the rep said that she would send the other rep to clean the outside furniture.
The rep arrived apologised to us and left without cleaning the outside furniture.
When we went into our van we were very disappointed to fine it wasn't clean at this point it was obvious that the reps had given up on caring.

The kettle was thick with limescale and we had to clean it before using it.
The microwave was full of grease
The oven was full of crumbs.
The shower was full of hair.
The wardrobe door was broken.
The dust under the beds was disgusting.

I realise that the van are going to get some dust but it's obvious that our van hadn't even been cleaned.

The patio day catch on my daughters van was broken and this blew shut and if we hadn't have been sat there this would have knocked our granddaughter over who was just coming through the door.

We arrived at the pool the Pool and was told that we need a bracelet before we can enter, why wasn't we given a bracelet when we checked in, again more time wasted waiting for the rep to arrive to give us a bracelet.

The outside area wasn't maintain it was dangerous and full of trip hazards that it prevented our 3 year old granddaughter who was in the van opposite from playing outside.

We couldn't use the BBQ because it had no handle on the lid.

The decking area around the van had weeds growing through it and we couldn't sit outside for a meal if it was a windy day because the sand around the vans covered our food.

When I booked this holiday I asked if everything would still be open because it was nearing the end of the season and I was advised things are open until the season ends.

Around the 8th/9th of September the children's out door pool and drinks area was closed for the season we had one very unhappy 3yr old.

My daughter was also told off by the life guard for giving her 1yr old daughter a babies bottle with milk in it and we was asked to leave the pool, had the drinks area been open we would have given her the milk in this area, I can't see what harm a babies bottle of milk can cause.

With regards to my daughters van, none of the below that we asked for where in the van when they arrived at 5.30pm.

Bed rail
Baby bath
Baby cot

I called the rep at 6.30pm and was told a cot would be with us in 10 minutes, 1hr later the cot had still not arrived at this point we had a very tired baby who had to sleep in her pram.
The cot arrived going up to 2hrs after the first phone call.

The night before checkout the rep came to see us and told us that checkout was between 9am -10am I told her we would be there at 10am which I was, 15 minutes later still no rep at this point I called her and she said she would be 10 minutes, surely if checkout is between these times one of the reps should be in the office.

We felt the site was a bit tired and needed some TLC. The pool was great and we enjoyed being so close to the beach but other than that we wouldn't return or recommend to our friends.
