We only used this site as a stopover on our journey from Calais to Paris. It is very convenient location to the ferry port. The local town is worth a wander around. The site did have good facilities, but we did not use them.
A few issues; we had to travel around the site to find the courier who was actually in his parents tent next to ours. The duvets had blood stains and other marks on them and also the cushions badly stained. The cupboard door was broken. The beds were comfortable it was just the cosmetic issues were an issue.
We were really looking forward to our Eurocamp holiday this year. Before we left the UK we received several emails from Eurocamp which all implied that Eurocamp appreciated the fact that we had booked with them & that they looked forward to welcoming us to the camp. WHAT A LET DOWN THE MOBILE HOME TURNED OUT TO BE!!! The Caravan was clean & tidy, it was an old caravan some windows had screws in place to keep the blinds down, the covers on the seats felt sticky, this was really down to age of caravan, (emergency exits in the dark would have been very difficult to use if an emergency had arisen in the living/kitchen area), this van seemed to be one of the old Keecamp stock still being used by Eurocamp years after they bought the company. Our main concern was the toilet situated near the kitchen area, IT STANK!! Worse than a bad Gents Urinals. We bought strong toilet detergents & bleach, toilet blocks & although after 5 days or so the stink had diminished it stayed with the caravan for the whole of our 10 night stay. We were in caravan C73.
we all had an amazing time.We had 4 nights in a safari tent which i loved. It was a surprise celebration for my husbands 60th birthday, family and friends turned up as a surprise for him 13 of us in total. We ate at the onsite restaurant and the food was great.
