- We have not tried a Eurocamp holiday before although I have looked many times and this was a perfectly relaxing time. I think we were at the tail end of the season so for most of our stay everything was lovely and quiet and not crowded (possibly not the case in July and most of August) but the combination of the accommodation and accessibility to beach and pool and not really needing a car was just what we were looking for. Eddie (Eurocamp rep) was extremely helpful and friendly and made several recommendations for getting about and where to eat that were also spot on. As the camp is listed as Orbitur our initial taxi driver from the airport struggled as we asked for Eurocamp. El Guincho is (as it says) pretty wavey and windy so Red Flag a couple of times but lovely huge beach , almost like Cornwall in Portugal - easy to get to Cascais beaches if you want a lie in the sun time. I would definitely recommend and would happily look at other destinations now we know how things are and what the accommodation is like. We were in an Esprit 3 bed and it was perfect for the outdoor hot holiday.
