We have just returned from a lovely holiday at Le Soliel. Our accommodation was modern and fresh and the decking was great. The only drawback is the closeness of the units and sometimes the orientations of the units do not help with privacy, for example our toilet window was about a meter from where the neighbours outdoor table and chairs were situated. The best bit about the park is the fantastic pool area, great area for little kids with slides and giant bucket that drenches them. The pools are warm and clean. The park is very close to the Luna Park which does mean there is quite a lot of noise in the evenings. We were able to do day trips to Barcelona and Carcasonne, which were well worth the trip. Would recommend the park for busy families who don't mind a large park with some noise and bustle.
fantastic , children loved the kids club and the girls there were brilliant especially Kay and George. Little disappointed with lack of knowledge of the area from couriers and reception staff. I would have liked to have ventured out a little more . Our site was a little noisy form the traffic but apart from that fantastic and hopefully will book again for next year.
My Holiday was as per my usual experiences with Eurocamp, relaxed, warm and easygoing. My pitch was very near the path to the beach which was a delight, and also not to far from a wash area, so again quite useful. it was large and spacious and in a very sunny possition, exactly as I requested via my booking form.
My party consisted of an immidiate four, with two of my party being aged 15 & 17 years. We all had a good time with the youngest using the sports facilities and the pool on most days as well as enjoying a foam party on one of the party nights! The noise from the nearby fun fare did not bother us to much as we were, not to close to it, but we could still hear it.
My biggest gripe about the camp was that there was never at any time one bar area open all trough the day. The pool bar would open until 7pm, then there would be no bar open until the beach bar would open at 9.30pm until 12.00, then the nightclub would open. However, The beach bar woul have you children discos form opening to closure, so if you wanted to have a quiret drink with friends or people you had met and not be in your accomodation you were very limited! We managed to overcome this problem and had a good time.
Unfortunately the weather was not a sunny as we are used to in the South of france our usual desination with Eurocamp, as we found that the mountians of the Pyrenees would send clouds over the camp from about miday onwards, it wasnt cold, but I found it a bit strange laying under a cloudbase on the beach.
Another point tor remember about this camp is that it is on the beach, and all the other camps around and Hotels, would travel to the beach, so if you were going out of the camp sightseeing you would get caught in the coastal traffic trying to get back to the camp, which could take ages as there is only one road for all to use! The camp pools were fantastic, with the largest being slightly heated and 1.8meters deep, which meant that there were not to many ball games being played. Other pools were avalable for smaller childfren and there was even a health spa pool for adult use.
My total party consisted of 14 persons, 6 adults, 4 15 to 17 years olds, two young teenagers and two under 8's. We had two caravans and two tents. We all generally had a good time and a very relaxing holiday.
