A very enjoyable holiday in a truly outstanding area and great views from our pitch on the terrace. It was a calm and relaxing place to be after a day out walking in the surrounding area. The campsite reception, shop and restaurant were all very helpful and welcoming and the band festival they hosted was a real treat.
Another brilliant holiday at Eurocamp - for the first time utilising one of the static tents rather than bringing our own. The scenery in and around the Lauterbrunnen valley is stunning and makes for a very relaxing holiday. There is nevertheless plenty to do with access to the mountain tops via the trains, cable cars and gondolas - the 6 day Jungfraupass is not cheap but without it you would really miss out.
Everything perfect except for the fact Eurocamp have removed their traditional coffee filters and jugs. However we managed to improvise with some cunning DIY skills (we have photos). But please bring back the old filters and jugs!
Camping Jungfrau has an exceptional location at the foot of the Jungfrau range of mountains. A 15minute walk to Lauterbrunnen station provides easy access to the region. The campsite is spotless, and has a first class restaurant. Wooden decking panels are readily available and are recommended to provide a non-muddy entrance to the tents during periods of rain. Eurocamp tents are specious and well equipped. Our Eurocamp reps (Ian and Ruth) were extremely helpful and the tent was spotless when we arrived. Be warned that Switzerland is expensive to eat out! Mountain train and cable car passes are recommended!
