Site has deteriorated over the past 2/3 years. Lack of staff, dirty pool and focused only on Dutch customers. Poor restaurant and bar. We went to the opposite campsite to eat/drink. Couriers were excellent.
Good location near the alps. We were lucky to have a cabin at the rear of the park which was very quiet. Very comfy bed, good range of kitchen utensils but be prepared with dish washing liquid as you have to provide your own and the park shop only sells it in 1 litre bottles. The cabin has an iPod Dock but no TV or toaster.
A fantastic holiday in the midst of the Alps. Breathtaking scenery, sunshine, the opportunity to cycle many iconic climbs, delicious French coffee, tartiflette , the Tour passing the campsite - parfait. Sadly this RCN campsite is less than parfait . We have been here many times and each time it becomes less French. The restaurant is appalling, under staffed - serving dreadful fast food. The animation is not inclusive, it exists only for the Dutch and seems to consist of having a speaker playing loud music at every opportunity. Sadly this once idyllic site has lost its charm and now serves solely as a base for exploring the area. Many pitches were empty at what should be a really busy time !!
Overall, this is a lovely, well maintained site in a beautiful location. Dutch owned and the atmosphere tends to be Dutch rather than French. Internet reception is appalling, internet reception this poor should be free. The shop is tiny and poorly stocked. Flavourless bread, we gave up on it and went to the excellent boulangerie in Allemont. Restaurant uninspiring and many Dutch dishes. However we despite the drawbacks we love this site and return to it year after year.
