Sallertaine is a must because you can’t miss out on exploring the labyrinth of ancient marshlands which tell the tale of the Vendée’s salt history. The best way to see the area is to hire a canoe and paddle along ‘le route du sel’.
Close to the parc, just 2 km away is Feeling Forest, an aerial assault course with 6 routes. There are also air games, trampolines, mini golf and other challenges. Suitable for 6+, but height restrictions apply.
At nearby Merlin Plage, Atlantic Toboggan is one of the areas most popular attractions. Older and younger children can make a splash in heated pools, children’s play areas and water slides.
