Isle of Wight Family (with only pre-school children)
So much to see and do nearby and further afield. Good transport links to Lisbon and would recommend a visit to Sintra

Loughborough Family (the eldest child is at school)
Not built up at Guincho. Wonderful sandy beaches and dunes. Not good for swimming but great for jumping into waves and surfing. Very windy most of the time. Cascais and Estoril are easy to drive to and nice towns to visit. Pretty small town beaches here - no wind and popular for swimming. Got train to Lisbon and easy to park near Cascais station - castle walls and Oceanarium are good to see. Sintra and its palaces are well worth a visit. Most people speak really good English.

Lanarkshire, Scotland Family (the eldest child is at school)
Loved our holiday at Guincho. Campsite staff and eurocamp couriers friendly and helpful. Great value for money. Village restaurants provided great food, great service and very reasonably priced. Nearby Cascais vibrant and Lisbon only a 30 min drive made for an excellent location. Great sunbathing at pool, Cascais and Estoril beaches. Close by Guincho beach with lovely boardwalk over the dunes - spectacular and great to watch kite and wind surfers - too windy for sunbathing - best for an early evening walk and watching the sun set.

Portugal is a beautiful country with very friendly people and a way of life that seems idyllic
Prices are very reasonable either in the shops or eating out
The selection of restaurants in the immediate area surrounding the site is huge.
