I would like to be able to say what stood out about the region but due to getting a puncture in our tyre on Saturday afternoon and not being able to get in repaired until Tuesday afternoon we were very restricted in what we could do.We only stayed at this site for 5 days. one thing I would say is that the Garage Gemmi in Susten were very helpful. There were some very nice walks up behind the campsite.
Switzerland is our favorite destination and we go every year for between 4 and 8 nights. Switzerland is as most people know very expensive but walking is free and spectacular. If you are a couple and want to see as much as possible we would recommend you invest in a rail pass that gives you unlimited rail travel plus buses plus lake boats plus alot of mountain lifts, BUT you need to use it alot to get good value e.g. a four day pass is good but plan to use it every day even when the weather is bad. Take as much food/wine with you as possible as very expensive in Switzerland and make sure your car is topped up with fuel in France (not on motorway)
We did the Schilthorn and plauteau didn't do the jungfrau due to the weather. May return next year to do that. Ian the rep told us to do the plauteau and recommended other things to do. We had a brilliant time it's so beautiful!
Our 5th Eurocamp holiday in Switzerland. There is always a great deal to do in this area which has stunning scenery of which you never tire. The public transport is wonderful and located by the campsite too! Lots of wonderful walks in which to explore the area. our favourite campsite.
