Sports and Activities in Denmark
You’re never more than an hour from a beach and often only minutes away from a lake or river. There’s no time like the present, so get daily or weekly licences, from post offices, tourist offices and tackle shops.
Denmark offers some of the world’s most challenging golf courses, in environments ranging from open park to quite dense woodland (so you might need a bow saw in your bag). Holstebro Golf Club in the North West and Simon’s Golf Club near Copenhagen are amongst the best.
Riding is extremely popular in Denmark. Whether you’re a trotter, canterer or galloper you’ll find ‘Ridecenters’ in many areas. Ride the countryside, or gallop along sea and lake beaches.
