Seaside towns with nice beaches, not large but interesting and friendly. These coincide with the D-Day beaches, cemeteries, museums etc. Larger towns and cities within easy reach. Bayeux tapestry, good food, beer, wine, the cider trail and Calvados.
This time June 2016 the weather was mixed sunshine and showers. Last time we visited it was very hot.

Lovely area of France. Beaches were great and plenty of attractions to keep all the family entertained but with out losing any charm of the French countryside.

The Art Museums at the major towns are first class. Opening hours have to be checked carefully. With six important centers surrounding Pont Leveque, there is no shortage of cultural visits to explore even if the weather is not suitable for a day on the beach. If beaches are beckoning, Normandy has some of the finest in France.
