The area has a lot to do and we recommend the caves at Seythenex, the boat trip from Doussard to Annecy, the cycle path along the lake to Anncey and Paragliding from Cap Forclaz. We would strongly suggest that this is not a site for staying in as there is not an awful lot on site to do and it is very small. However it is a great base for getting out and about and exploring the area and the fantastic scenery. The area is great for cycling and walking and is well worth exploring. We would also point out that the area is very lush and green for a reason, that is it rains a lot! Do not expect lots of sunshine as you may be disappointed.
We headed here partly so that my husband could pursue some cycling dreams and attempt some famous routes. So much to do in this region: road cycling, mountain biking, walking, skiing, zip-wiring and climbing high ropes in trees, the luge, rafting, high altitude walks/mountaineering and on and on. No excuse to be bored here. Just a shame the weather was not that great for us.
