Camping in Normandy offers a richness and variety of landscape that is perhaps unrivalled in France. From the wild craggy, granite coastline to the long sandy beaches and chalk cliffs of the south, from the ancient beech forests of the east to the apple orchards of calvados, Normandy offers a wealth of quiet villages and unspoilt countryside.

Two miles away is the resort of La Vallée, where you can still see the huge skeleton of a whale which beached there ninety years ago. It is in this area that you will also find the holiday villages of Branville and Omaha Beach near Bayeux. Just a short distance away, you will find the Château Le Brevedent resort in Pont L'Eveque and Deauville holiday village just to the north of that.

The lovely sandy beach at Fermanville is worth visiting. Nearby you can visit calvados and cider museums at Valognes where you can taste liqueurs and apple brandy or the fishing port at Barfleur. Take a trip into Cherbourg where you will find La Cité de la Mer, the largest aquarium in Europe.
