Formula One: French Grand Prix – Magny Cours –3 July 2006 tbc

The Formula One World Championships continues with the French Grand Prix. Race day sees over 100,000 spectators pack the stands of the Circuit de Nevers at Magny-Cours as fan from across the world flock to Burgundy.

Salon des Antiquarires – Dijon – 13-18 June 2006 tbc

Dijon's largest antiques fair has been running annually for over 30 years at the Parc des Expositions. One of the best in France, it brings together 80 antique dealers and 40 exhibitors in the bric-a-brac section, with more than 15,000 people pouring in to admire their wares.

Hotel Dieu – Beaune – open daily

A major landmark not only for Beaune, but also for Burgundy and even France itself, the Hôtel-Dieu is a monument both to viticulture and charity in the area.

Botonaical Gardens – Dijon – open daily

Dijon's botanical gardens were founded in 1833, in the Jardin de L'Arquebuse, for the cultivation, study and protection of plants and flowers from the region and all over the globe. The formal gardens offer some 3500 varieties, including a fragrant medicinal garden, to discover.

Amora Mustard Museum – Dijon – open daily weds and Sat only

Dijon's mustard is renowned worldwide. The Amora Museum, which offers tours on Wednesday and Saturday only, traces the city's links with mustard, paying particular attention to the Amora label and the innovative marketing campaigns which played a key role in ensuring the brand's survival.
