Eurocamp Press Centre
Eurocamp offers self-catering self/drive, fly/drive or accommodation only holidays to 15 countries & Islands in Europe, including France, Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, and Portugal, offering a choice of over 160 holiday parcs. New for 2008 are four destinations in Florida. Also new for 2008 is a parc on Sicily and accommodation in holiday villages in France and Italy.
The parcs range from the smaller, family run to large multi-activity holiday parcs. Many have outstanding pool complexes, with water slides, paddling pools, saunas and Jacuzzis, and a selection offer Wellness Centres, Fitness Centres and Spas. Most offer a wide range of activities from tennis, table tennis, football, horse riding, bike hire etc with others providing canoeing, white water rafting, windsurfing, sailing courses and mountain biking.
Well trained, experienced staff provide a full booking service for holiday parcs and a wide range of ferry crossings, motorail, fly/drive and rail travel. Customers can choose to travel by car and ferry, with their car on motorail, fly to their destination and hire a car or take airport transfers, or try continental rail travel, with car hire available from a number of stations if required. The holiday length is totally flexible and it is possible to stay at any parc for any number of nights, and to travel, and move parcs, on any day of the week. Overnight stops on-parc or in hotel accommodation are also offered, as is a comprehensive insurance package for people and car. Each customer receives a full free Travel Pack before departure, consisting of maps, guides, local information and country information plus a gift for the family.
Accommodation is in tents, mobile homes, chalets or holiday village apartments. The luxury tents are fully equipped with electric lights, full sized fridge, a 4-burner gas hob and grill, kitchen storage, 3 bedrooms, sprung beds, sun loungers etc. and sleep up to six. There is a choice of range of 5 styles of mobile homes all with at least two bedrooms, fully fitted kitchen, spacious living area, full sized cooker and fridge/freezer, fitted wardrobes, shower room toilet and vanity unit, and 3-pin sockets. Some also have a microwave oven, radio/cassette player and master bedroom with en-suite shower room, tiled pitched roof, domestic style interior doors and double gazing throughout. Mobile homes sleep between five and eight people dependent on style. Bed linen is provided in all accommodation for a small extra charge as is a Welcome Pack, consisting of essentials for the first night on parc with contents including tea and coffee, water, olive oil, washing up liquid, tea towel, matches and toilet roll.
Couriers are on-parc at all times to help and advise customers on all aspect of their holiday, and free children's and toddler clubs are provided. Fun Station is an umbrella brand for a three-tiered system of children’s clubs, presenting trained couriers and tailored activities for 4+ year olds, 7+ year olds and 10+ year olds. Whilst the 4+ children go out on Leo’s Treasure Hunt the 7+ children might be trying Danish Longball and the 10+ children mastering Krypton Factor. Base is the name of the ultra-cool club for teenagers aged 13+, offering more informal social activities and sports, such as beach BBQs, night orienteering or paintball. Fun Station offers morning and afternoon sessions, 6 days a week. Mini Fun Station is from late May until end June on a selection of holiday parcs offering a safe and relaxing environment for toddlers between 0-4 years (plus one parent) to play in, with sterilizers, bottle warmers, changing mats and suitable toys and games.
These sessions run six days per week for 5 hours a day. On four holiday parcs Soccer Stations, run by trained coaches, are offered for boys and girls between 5 and 16 years, 5 days per week for 2 hourly sessions. New for 2008 are Action Stations on 4 parcs where Eurocamp, teamed with sister company PGL, will offer a supervised high tower with climbing wall, abseiling and zip wire.
