This great international city has so much to offer, so here is just a selection of the famous landmarks and main attractions around the city that you must not miss.

Sagrada Familia
The temple of the Sagrada Familia is the unfinished masterpiece of Barcelona's most celebrated architect, Antonio Gaudi. There is a small Gaudi museum inside the temple, which details Gaudi's life and provides information on the history of the cathedral.

La Rambla
Centrally located from the Pl. de Catalunya to the Colombus statue, La Rambla is the most well know landmark in Barcelona. This tree-lined pedestrian, packed with activity from living statues, buskers and Chinese acrobats to street sellers is a must see. Important landmarks and attractions along the avenue include the famous Canaletas drinking fountain, the Liceau Opera House, the Joan Mira Mosaic, the street/flea market and the Boqueria Market.

Palau de la Musica Catalana
Built between 1905 and 1908 and classified by UNESCO in 1997 as a World Heritage site, this is one of the best examples of modernist architecture in Barcelona.

Park Guell
Park Güell in Barcelona is internationally renowned Catalan architect Antonì Gaudì's (1852-1926) modernist utopia. A lush parkland overlooking the city and filled with a fantasy village of mosaic-covered buildings, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984.

Museu Picasso
Situated within the Gothic mansions, the Picasso museum now houses paintings, drawings, lithographs and etchings from the early period of Picasso's work.

Parc Zoologic
The Barcelona zoo accommodates over 7,000 different animals belonging to 400 species, including the only albino gorilla in captivity. There is also an infant zoo where children can be introduced to and pet certain animals.

Nou Camp
Football fans will be amazed by this spectacular stadium. Visit Barcelona FC impressive stadium and museum and take a tour of the ground and the changing rooms.
