Pula is home to one of the largest Roman amphitheatres in the world. Situated on the southern tip of the Istrian peninsula and dating from the 1st Century, it boasts a fine mixture of the ancient and modern and is a perfect place for sight-seeing and shopping. Sights include the Triumphal Arch of the Sergii as well as the famous Temple of Augustus.

Porec ‘Annals of Porec’ is the oldest Croatian exhibition, started in 1960, and takes place in the 13th century church of St Francis, which is adorned with Baroque stucco works and frescoes with a blend of new art expression for the modern art lover. The history of Porec can be seen in the old walled city, cobbled streets, churches and wonderful architecture which leave a lasting impression of times past. There are also two lively tourist areas: Zelena and Plava , set in the south bays and offering a wide range of shopping and entertainment.The beaches of Porec are renowned for their quality and visited by naturalists from afar.

The island of Cres, second largest in the Adriatic, hosts an array of spectacular bays and some unforgettable views, most notably that of the Bay of Kuarner. Linked by a small bridge to Mali Losinj , the island is steeped in culture and history. The town of Cres and the 12th Century church of St Isidor are worth a visit.

Rovinj is a charmingly picturesque town with narrow cobbled streets, numerous restaurants and galleries and the striking St. Euphemia Catherdral with its 60m tall tower.
