- • What information do I need to provide about my car for the ferry?
It is important to inform our advisor of any modifications to your vehicle that could effect your ferry booking. For example, is your car driven on Petrol or LPG? LPG or Dual Fuel (cars which are powered by gas) are not permitted on the Eurotunnel. Other ferries will allow them, provided that the gas on the vehicle is turned off. We would also need to know if you are planning to take a roof box/rack, bikes on top/back of car, if you are towing a trailer or any other information regarding the height or length of your vehicle. This is essential to ensure that your travel arrangements can be booked and priced correctly.
- • How should I travel?
Some of our customers may not have driven on the continent before. It is therefore not advisable to drive too far, particularly on the first day. Our Reservation staff will advise you on suitable distances to drive and overnight stops, if required. If you don't fancy the long drive to our Parcs in the South of France, or Italy, you could put your car on the motorail at Calais. Alternatively you could go by air with BA, Air France, or low cost airlines like Ryan Air, Bmi Baby or Easyjet. We will even arrange car hire on your arrival.
