- • What should I take with me during the ferry crossing?
If you are travelling overnight, you will need to pack a few overnight items in a small bag, e.g. washbag with soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, and a change of clothes for the following day. Even if you have a day crossing, it is important that you pack a small bag with any items that you may need during the crossing. Once you have left your vehicle, you will not be allowed back until the ferry docks at the arrival port.
- • My ferry crossing will be overnight. Do I need to take bed linen on the ferry?
If you have booked a cabin, you do not need to take your bed linen with you on the ferry. All cabin beds are supplied with bedding and towels.
- • What other baby facilities don't I need to worry about?
At certain sites there are many features and facilities for little ones - travel cots (which come complete with mosquito nets and double up as playpens), high chairs and junior tents (available on lots of sites at a small charge per night, must be pre-booked). On many sites there are little swimming pools and heated paddling pools. Baby-sitting can be arranged with couriers.
- • Will I need to bring a push-chair for my toddler?
Eurocamp even provides a choice of transport for little ones! Hand-pulled rumble trucks and all-terrain buggies. Both are bookable for a small charge and are available on selected parcs
- • Do I need to take a plug adapter?
Most of our Holiday Homes are fitted with the UK style 3 pin plug. Our tents have the two pin European sockets. These are suitable for equipment such as a radio cassette player, but not for any appliance containing a heating element, such as a hair dryer or a toaster. An adapter would be needed to use the electrical sockets in the shower blocks for your hair dryer, shaver or to use your iron in the ironing room.
- • I am concerned about luggage space when I travel. Can I hire my bed linen?
We can now offer linen hire on all of our parcs. The cost is £14 per week for 1 pair of double sheets, 2 pillow cases, 2 pillows, towels and £8 per week for 1 pair of single sheets, 1 pillow case, 1 pillow and 1 towel. Hire is for a minimum of 1 week and guests cannot take linen from site to site .
- • Do I need to take bed Linen?
All our accommodations are supplied with blankets and pillows. You will need to bring your own sheets, pillow cases, sleeping bags or duvets and covers, plus towels and tea towels. If your holiday in a tent at the beginning, or near the end of season, we recommend you take an extra blanket or sleeping bag as the evenings can be cool.
- • Can I take extra equipment abroad such as bikes and sports gear?
Eurocamp can arrange extra space on the ferry for roof boxes, bike carriers etc. You can find a wide range of car accessories on the Thule Website.
- • How much baggage can I take on the flight?
Flight baggage allowances will be shown on the relevant airline websites. If you have booked your flight through Eurocamp, the Booking Conditions with baggage allowance details will be sent to you with your travel pack.
