But, then, this is a land overflowing in history. Just 8 km away lies the dignified little town of Bayeux. Pleasures of a more leisurely nature can be found at the Omaha Beach Golf Club - one of France’s top courses. This residence is just 9km from Omaha beach and just 1 kilometre from the centre of Port-en-Bessin, a charming seaside development with a busy harbour and good cafes serving delicious local cheeses and pastries. The holiday park is a delight - with three swimming pools on site and perfectly designed to fit effortlessly into the rolling Normandy landscape.
