Campsite Description
The Queen Elizabeth Forest Park is one of Scotland’s national treasures, and a very special location for the campsite at Cobleland.
With a riverside setting amidst the ancient oaks of this splendid forest park, Cobleland offers a wealth of natural beauty. The campsite received a David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award in 2008 in recognition of its active concern for the environment and its devotion to conservation can be clearly seen. There’s also plenty to do here, with a wide choice Ranger-led activities as well as walking, fishing, orienteering and cycling. And if you’re interested in the region’s geology too, the fascinating Highland Boundary Fault Trail begins close to the Cobleland Visitor Centre.
As UK Escapes are all about getting back to nature, there are no fridges or electricity in any of our UK tents. We have though included a cool box (ice packs available on arrival) and lanterns with rechargable batteries provided.
