Campsite Description
For many people, Lake Windermere is the jewel in lakeland’s crown. And the campsite at Low Wray offers you an unmatched location from which to enjoy it.
Even if you only come here to feel at one with nature and relax, you are sure to be tempted by the many walks and watersports you’ll find at Low Wray. This National Trust campsite is the gateway to many lovely paths for both walkers and cyclists, while those who enjoy sailing, windsurfing and canoeing will find everything they need, right here on-site. But if you are just visiting to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy immersing yourself in the great outdoors, you’ll find the views over the lake to Wansfell Pike beyond incredibly rewarding in their own right.
As UK Escapes are all about getting back to nature, there are no fridges or electricity in any of our UK tents. We have though included a cool box (ice packs available on arrival) and lanterns with rechargable batteries provided.
