Our 20th year at this parc. With its lovely architecture and rural location, this lively parc has a deserved reputation for high standards.

St. Avit Loisirs is one of the premier parcs in a region where standards are already high, in fact it has the prestigious 5 red tents in the Michelin guide and is the first French campsite to obtain the internationally recognised ISO9000 award for quality. Its crowning glories are the beautiful, golden stone-built Périgordin buildings which house the reception, shop, bar and traditional ‘auberge’, with its choice of delicious regional specialities. There is also an indoor tropical-style swimming pool and even a ‘lazy river’ as well as a bar terrace overlooking the outdoor pool complex, which is the scene for a full programme of entertainment including disco and karaoke nights. Surrounded by verdant woodland, this Castel parc is mainly shaded and extremely spacious, with lovely views across the countryside and the added bonus of luxury tent pitches arranged along the edge.

Local events

Local events include the Strawberry Festival in Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne on 8th May; the Brocante Market for bric-a-brac in Bergerac held on the first Sunday of every month; the Cyrano's Table Gastronomic Festival in Bergerac from 13th to 16th July and the Festival des Jeaux du Theatre at Sarlat from 18th July to 5th August.

Getting there

With regional airports at Bergerac, Bordeaux, Limoges and Rodez fly drive is a good choice. Alternatively ferries to St Malo, Caen, Cherbourg or Calais are an option.
