Jura and Vosges Regional Map

Champagne

The numerous little wine towns, mediaeval villages and a host of ruined castles stretching along the north eastern margins of the Vosges, south of Strasbourg, provide superb touring country. Relax into the unhurried way of life of the countryside and enjoy the picturesque towns and villages, the rich culinary fare and local wines of this delightful region. The varied landscapes of the Champagne region include dense forests, vineyards and winding rivers. The whole area is dotted with fascinating ancient churches and castles, towns and villages.

Jura

You can't fail to enjoy the stunning scenery of the Jura. Craggy limestone escarpments overhang clear sparkling rivers that cut through deep gorges and in places thunder down long cascades. High lakes and colourful caves can all be explored from the quiet mountain roads of the Haut Jura. And once you have enjoyed the deep forests and winding river valleys of the Champagne region, there are many chances to enjoy the region's most famous export.

Getting There
For those wishing to fly drive there are airports at Lyon, Geneva and Strasbourg. Alternatively, the channel tunnel or ferries to Calais, Caen or Zeebrugge are an option for those wising to drive.
