Corsica
Corsica is part of France and offers a French style of living together with beautiful, unspoilt beaches from which to enjoy one of the sunniest climates in the Mediterranean. Apart from glorious beaches, Corsica has splendid landscapes rising dramatically to Monte Cinto, a year round snow capped peak at 9,000 feet. Corsica’s magnificent mountains, covered in a mixture of aromatic herbs and pine and chestnut forests, provide a breathtaking variety of unspoilt scenery. Deep gorges cut through the mountains and historic ‘citadel’ towns perch on the hilltops, whilst on the coast there are lively ports.
Getting There
Fly drive is an option with flights available to Corsica. Alternatively, ferries are available from Nice and Marseille or Genoa, Livorno and Piombino.
Sardinia
Sardinia is a Mediterranean island but looks more like a slice of the Seychelles. 1,800 kilometres of coastline make it a heaven for lovers of all type of watersports; add to this a rich 4,000-year-long history, superb fish and seafood, and typical Mediterranean sunshine and you have the perfect holiday destination.
