Internacional de Calonge, Costa Brava

Swimming pools

Choose from two pools at Internacional de Calonge, one for adults and a special one for the toddlers. As the parc's set on a hillside you have marvellous views over the bay as you swim and with the restaurant and snack bar close by you can spend a long lazy day just staying round the complex.

Activities for toddlers to teenagers

You'll be spoilt for choice if you're looking for a more active holiday - why not play basketball or football, try your hand at pétange, or have a family tennis competition. Hire bikes and explore the area or head down to the "Blue Flag" beach for a game of volleyball or brisk run down the sandy shore. For the little ones the play areas are the place to be and with one styled as a big wooden ship they can all be pirates for the day.

Eating out

Try the local specialities on the restaurant terrace overlooking the pool or pop into the snack bar either for breakfast or supper as its open well into the evening. There's even a take away service if you'd rather stay in and relax on the garden area by your accommodation. Alternatively organise a family BBQ and enjoy planning the menu, buying all the items at the colourful local markets and sampling the local wine.

The supermarket has a wide range of products, with local wines and fresh fruit and vegetable available and the souvenir shop stocks magazines, newspapers and gifts. There's even a hairdresser if Mum wants some pampering while she's on holiday.

Accommodation

They can offer advice on local restaurants, nearby shops and supermarkets and local attractions and days out for all the family such as the Salvador Dali Museum at Figueras, the most visited museum in Spain, or the nature reserve of Parc Natural del Aiguamolls de L'Empordá, where the marshes attract over 300 species of birds.
