Set in an area of enormous natural beauty, Les Tours is a nature-lover’s paradise.

Les Tours is an attractive parc with a high standard of facilities and a great swimming pool complex and ‘lazy river’. With good-sized pitches laid-out on a series of terraces and overlooking the gorgeous Lac de la Selves, its a lovely spot for boating and swimming. Beyond Les Tours itself, you will find that you are superbly placed between the Auvergne and the Lot Valley. The enchanting town of Espalion is just 32km south, with its 13th century red sandstone bridge and charmingly small riverside château making it well worth a visit.

Out and about

Visit the renaissance Château de Calmont, about half an hour away from the parc in the town of Espalion. Further afield, for art lovers there's the Museum of Art and Archeology, 54km away. Closer to parc are of course the watersports and fishing opportunities in the Truyère gorges and reservoirs. There are also many pretty villages close by.

Chateau de Calmont

Perched on a volcanic rocky peak, The Chateau named Calmont d'Olt is the centre of an exceptional Beauty spot. It is about 1000 years old and around the year 1400 because of Ravages resulting the one hundred years war in Rouergue, and the advent of new weapons, the outer wall fortifications were built. It is now a place of animation based on the chateau's past battles. Also received the trophy of tourism

Local Directions

From St Flour take the D921 to Chaude Aigues. Continue straight through the town on the D921 as far as Lacalm. Approximately 1 mile after Lacalm turn right onto the D34 sign posted St Amans des Cots. Stay on this road until you reach St Amans. As you reach St Amans, continue through the village, taking the left hand turning onto the D97 (this turning is after a garage), following signs towards Estaing and Lac de la Selves. You will pass through the hamlet of Colombez and Camping Les Tours is sign posted to the left. Take this turning and follow the road around the lake (Lac de la Selves) for about 2 miles until you reach Camping Les Tours on your right hand side. As a guide, the journey from St Amans should take about 10 – 15 minutes.
