Local Events

With its rich celtic culture, festivals abound here. Festival de la cite des Hortensias at Perros-Guirec, a 2 day International festival in the centre of town, 12th to 14th August; La Fete de la Morue in Binic from 5th to 8th May celebrates local fishing and the Festival des Ramparts in Dinan from 22nd to 23rd July features jousting knights in the heart of this fine medieval city.

Out and about

The medieval capital of Brittany, Quimper, is worth the drive for a day's visit. A little closer is Pont Scorff with its popular zoo, and just 15 minutes drive from the parc is the market town of Quimperlé with narrow medieval streets, also excellent for restaurants. 35km from the site is Odet Loisirs at Elliant, an outdoor play park with an array of attractions including pedaloes and trampolines.

L'Aquarium - Audierne

Large aquarium with an excellent variety of fish to view. There is a variety of shows including birds of prey. There is also a shop and a restaurant.

Aquarium de Vannes

The aquarium has 50 tanks with none resembling its neighbour. Discover some of the curiosities which make the aquarium a 'must see'. There is a gift shop and restaurants. Allow 90 minutes for a visit.

Les Balneides

Indoor heated swimming pool plus outdoor pools with slides and water chutes. One chute is the longest in Brittany at 75 metres long.

Château de Pontivy

Built in 1485 and restored in the 18th century, Pontivy has twice been known officially as Napoleonville

Local Directions

From the South, East and West: From the N165 take the ‘Quimperlé Est’ junction. Following signs to Quimperlé. Go straight across the roundabout and continue to the traffic lights. Go through the first set and the take the right turn at the next set D22 direction Arzano. Continue for about 5 miles look out now for the sign on your left for Camping Ty- Nadan, directing you to turn left just before the village of Arzano. Drive along the road through the field and at the T-junction turn left. Follow the winding road across the bridge over the river, the campsite is on your left. From the North (Roscoff): Travelling along the D769 direction Plouay, at Meslan turn right for Arzano (D222). After 7 miles, turn right for Arzano and cross the village centre. Turn right into the road bearing right/straight ahead, following the sign for Camping Ty Nadan. Follow the road down across the bridge over the river, the campsite is on your left.
