Parc highlights

The parc is close to a great beach and a lovely town

There’s lots going on at this lively parc, though the waves of the Atlantic coast may well tempt you away.

The facilities on this parc are second to none, especially the superb aquatic area with its three pools, play river and triple waterslide - and with a new waterpark, including an indoor children’s pool, spa, jacuzzi and Turkish bath, its only going to get better! While about 900m away, you can learn to surf and bodyboard in the spectacular Atlantic waves. There are dozens of activities for kids of all ages, as well as entertainment, centered around the bar-restaurant every night in high season, with the promise that all will be quiet after midnight and the parc owner is keen for all rules to be respected for the benefit and comfort of all guests. Beyond the parc, Labenne offers endless forest roads and cycle paths; while the town itself has a splendid outdoor market, two petting zoos, as well as the lovely Marais d’Orx nature park.

Local Events

The spectacular Tour d'ile de Re Yacht Festival is held on 7th May; the Bordeaux Fete de Vin, a celebration of the region's most famous export runs from 1st to 4th July; Francofolies celebrates French music ans song at La Rochelle between 12th and 17th July, and the weekly Summer Music Festival is held at Pauillac from 22nd July to 26th August.

Out and about

The Atlantic water park, with its various slides plus bar and restaurant, is close by at the town of Seignosse. Just over 3km away from the parc is the town of Labenne, popular with ocean lovers as well as nature and history lovers. Why not travel slightly further afield and have a day out at the cosmopolitan city of Biarritz? A mixture of modern shops, bars and restaurants with museums and Edwardian architecture.

Le Petit Train de la Rhune

This is an old funicular railway of 3 cars that takes tourists 900 metres to the top of La Rhune. On clear days there are magnificent views of the area and of the Pyrénées. A return trip takes approximately 2 hours although it is possible to walk either up or down. There is a small restaurant at the arrival and departure points

Local Directions

From Bordeaux: Take the N10 (which leads into the A63) direction Bayonne / San Sebastian from Bordeaux. Leave the motorway at Junction 8, signposted Hossegar / Capbreton. Take the D28 direction Hossegar and Capbreton before you reach Capbreton take the D652 towards Labenne. Turn off the D652 onto the D26 – signposted Labenne Ocean. This junction has traffic lights on it. Follow the D26 for approximately 2 miles –going straight on over a roundabout as if you’re heading towards the beach. Camping Yelloh! Village Sylvamar is on your right hand side.
