Local Events

Children's theatre is given a raucous outing at the Voila Enfentillages Children's Festival in Montpellier from 7th to 15th of May; while the Printemps des Comediens Comedy Festival returns to Montpellier for its 21st year from 3rd June to 6th July.You will also find Montpellier host to a major European Dance Festival from 20th June to 5th July.

Out and about

The popular city of Béziers is located just about 17km away from the parc and here you can spend a lovely day out browsing around the shops. It is also the main trading centre of the Languedoc wine industry. The busy port at Cap d'Agde is a short drive away, with a number of waterside bars and restaurants, Aqualand water park, aquarium and treetop adventure park, Agd'Aventure.

Aqualand Cap d'Agde

An adventure day for the whole family. Over 20 attractions on 4 hectares of beaches. Waterslides to suit the whole family. A colourful and rich atmosphere with music. Self service restaurant, shop.

Vulliod St Germain

The museum is housed in a 16th century palace just off the square. The Grand Salon, with its Aubusson tapestries and collection of 17th and 18th century furniture steals the show.

Reserve Africaine

African Reserve of more than 3800 animals on nearly 300 hectares of semi-natural park. Space offered is sufficiently vast so that the animals remain wild and express their natural behaviours fully.

Seaquarium Le Grau du Roi

Local Directions

From Montpellier: Leave the A9 motorway at the Agde exit (Exit No. 34). When you exit the A9 you will come to a roundabout, take the 3rd exit sign posted Vias, Agde Serignan. Continue along this road for about 5 miles, following signs for Vias-Plage. Carry on along the road following signs to Agde (not slip road to Vias). The road then splits and you should take the right hand fork sign posted to Vias. You then join the N112. Take the first right-hand exit sign-posted to Vias-Plage. Following this road you will pass ‘La Carabasse’ on your left, and then a new development on your right. Go straight over at the roundabout and continue for a further 200 yds. Turn left at the police station (‘Gendarmerie’), the site being sign-posted at this turning. ‘Camping Club Farret’ will appear on your right-hand side approximately 300 yds along this road. From Narbonne: Take the A9 north in the direction of Beziers and come off at the Agde exit (Exit No. 34). Follow the slip road until you come to a roundabout, where you should take the first exit towards Agde (N312 – 7.5 miles). Continue along this road for about 5 miles, following signs for Vias-Plage. Carry on along the road following signs to Agde (not slip road to Vias). The road then splits and you should take the right hand fork sign posted to Vias. You then join the N112. Take the first right-hand exit sign-posted to Vias-Plage. Following this road you will pass ‘La Carabasse’ on your left, and then a new development on your right. Go straight over at the roundabout and continue for a further 200 yds.
