Local Events

Children's theatre is given a raucous outing at the Voila Enfentillages Children's Festival in Montpellier from 7th to 15th of May; while the Printemps des Comediens Comedy Festival returns to Montpellier for its 21st year from 3rd June to 6th July.You will also find Montpellier host to a major European Dance Festival from 20th June to 5th July.

Out and about

The nearby medieval town of Sommières is a short drive away, and the residents here are very proud of its history. A medieval fair is held here every spring. Further afield is the city of Montpellier, well worth a day out. Here in Montpellier there is also a popular aquarium - one of the biggest in France.

Running between Anduze and Saint Jean du Gard the train passes through tunnels and over viaducts and is an excellent way to see the beautiful countryside of the region. At the station the driver and the engineer invite passengers to look more closely at the lovingly maintained engine

Local Directions

Coming from the South or North on the A9 motorway take the exit 26 'Gallargue'. Once through the toll booth, take first exit right and at the bottom of the slip road, take a right and another immediate right. Follow the road over a humpback bridge and turn immediately left at the T junction. You should go back under the A9 road bridge in the direction of 'Aubais' on the D12. Follow this through the small village of Aubais in the direction of Sommieres, for about 6km. Slow down when you see the wine chateau of ‘Domaine de Massereau’ on the left hand side and the entrance to the campsite is 500 yards on the right hand side, opposite the chateau.
