Why travel further afield, when some of France’s best beaches are tantalizingly close at hand?
Normandy’s Belle-Epoque resorts, its wide, sandy bays and its historic towns make a convincing argument for exploring the northern fringes of France. That and the blissfully easy journey times! A sunny glasshouse forms the centrepiece of this holiday village, just minutes from Normandy's coast. Within, there's a generous swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi complex while, outside, a second, large pool is surrounded by perfect sunbathing spots. Your home here will either be a cosy cottage with a private terrace or roomy apartment, set within Branville's peaceful gardens, deep within the folds of Normandy's intoxicating countryside. Did we say intoxicating? We must have been thinking of Calvados, the region's delicate apple brandy. When its time to get out and explore, you'll have no shortage of memorable day trips ahead of you. Travel to the coast, and you’ll discover the resorts of Deauville and Houlgate, with their wide, clean beaches and elegant boulevards. Head inland, and you'll discover bustling market towns and the water meadows and marshes of Beaumont en Auge.
