The beaches of Le Touquet can be reached by a leisurly bike ride and offer various water sports. You're also in easy reach of the Casino, as well as various restaurants, cafés, designer boutiques and night clubs, plus 3 golf courses and other sporting activities. The Aqualud water park is close by, offering splashing fun for all the family. Heading north, out of Le Touquet, a lovely day out can be spent in the lovely port town of Boulogne-sur-Mer.

Attractions

The resort: Le Touquet Paris-Plage (previously known as the Channel Garden) is a well known seaside resort on France’s Côte d’Opale (Opal Coast). This is a town offering peace and quiet and relaxation but is at the same time a town recognised for its sports culture and its rich architecture. Its long, fine sandy beach and its esplanade, its events and entertainment features and its shopping streets make this the most popular resort on the Opal Coast. Places to visit: - The 15 villas listed in the register of Historical Monuments (La Closerie, Le Castel, La Rafale etc). The grandstand at the racetrack – a council owned building listed in the Historical Monuments register. The Musée du Touquet (Le Touquet Museum), located in the heart of the forest, includes the Ecole Régionale d’Etaples (Etaples Regional School – with a collection dating from the 19th century up to the present day), a modern and contemporary art collection (with the Atelier de la Monnaie) in addition to photographic collections. - The Parc de l’Estuaire (Estuary Park), a listed site covering some 42 hectares located on the northern edge of Le Touquet offers a number of exciting trails to help you discover the local natural environment (dunes, forest, the bay, birds, etc.). The surrounding area: Trips around the Boulogne area in a radius of 30 to 60 km (Boulogne-sur-Mer, Cap Gris-Nez and Cap Blanc-Nez, the La Canche valleys, Berck, Fort-Mahon, Quend, etc.). Marquenterre bird park, a nature reserve of the Somme Bay (38 km away): 300 hectares of sand and mud flats, covered by the sea twice daily. Nausicaa in Boulogne-sur-Mer (30 km away): the world’s largest sea life centre, 15 000 m² of exhibitions, 1400 m3 of aquariums and 3 000 fish. Mareïs in Etaples (6 km away) : traditional and modern fishing museum with educational edible-fish basins.
