Immersed in thousands of years of history, Villefranche and its surrounding countryside is almost too photogenic to be true. But it is. A beautiful, pastel-painted town at the head of the French Riveria, Villefranche is a small town of only 8,000 inhabitants – but, within its limits you'll discover a walled citadel, Gothic churches, and ancient harbour, all a delight. Our Residence is situated in verdant, private gardens, with a classically designed pool, just five minutes' walk away from a lovely beach. For a change of pace, the glamour and pulse of Monte Carlo is just a short drive away. Drive inland over rolling hills to St. Paul de Vence, a walled hill fort which dates back to the middle ages. Back in Villefranche, take your pick from a string of harbourside restaurants, offering decidedly Italian-influenced meals, each more inviting than the next.

Take the train, bus or the car to see the sights at Nice, or even Monaco or Ventimiglia. Closer to resort you have a great choice of bars and restaurants located in the attractive old Villefranche town and its harbour, and there are some lovely winding streets within the old town, perfect for a stroll.

Local Directions

From Paris: A6 motorway as far as Lyon, then the A7 and A 8 "La Provençale", exit Nice/Promenade des Anglais. Take the R.N. 98 towards Villefranche, and the Basse Corniche towards Le Cap Ferrat/Monaco. About 1.5 km after Villefranche, at the entrance to Villefranche Pont-St-Jean, follow signs to the Ange Gardien residence.
