Local Events

The Keukenenhof Gardens in spring are a display of more than 7 million bulbs held at Lisse from 24th March to 20th May; National Windmill Day is held across Holland on the 9th May, and the Holland Festival in Amsterdam from the 1st to the 26th of June is the biggest arts event in the Dutch calendar, with a wealth of cultural events on offer.

Out and about

If you can tear yourself away from the parc's own array of attractions, the largest theme park in the Netherlands, de Efteling is less than 19km away, and offers attractions for all ages. The historical yet contemporary city of Breda is worth a visit, with its numerous art museums and its beautiful 15th century church. Cultural and artistic Eindhoven, too, is most certainly worth a trip, thanks to its array of shops, bars and restaurants as well as museums, parks, theatres and sports.

De Efteling

This Theme Park is based around the magical world of fairy tales. One of the main attractions is the fairy tale wood where animals sing, mushrooms play music and dwarfs cry at Snow White's coffin. A large haunted castle, a lake, and attractions for those who like thrills and several restaurants complete the picture

Beekse Bergan

This leisure area extends over 425 hectares. It includes a theme park, a wild animal reserve and a small zoo ( open all year). The animal reserve has more than 1000 wild animals including, lions, rhinos, hyenas and zebras. The theme park has many attractions including pedalos, boats, horse-riding and mini golf

From the French ferry ports, Belgian ferry ports, Hook Van Holland and the north west of Holland: Come off the A58 at exit 10 Beekse Bergen, Hilvarenbeek and Tilburg Oost onto the N269. Go to the traffic lights and turn right in the direction of Hilvarenbeek & Beekse Bergen (the site is sign posted from the lights as Safari Camping). Keep in the right hand lane and after approximately 400m turn right, direction Beekse Bergen. Follow this road round and the site will appear in front of you.
