With a superb pool complex and private beach, Union Lido is also an excellent base for discovering Venice.

Union Lido is a large, lively parc, with a range of impressive, high quality amenities. The parc’s showpiece, is undoubtedly the spectacular pool complex with its lagoon pool and flowing river, which is ideal for all ages. The health spa centre and Hawaiian beach pool are not to be missed. The pool is surrounded by sunbathing terraces and bordered by trees. There are also a variety of bars and restaurants for you to enjoy here, together with a well organised animation programme. Right next to the parc there is a private sandy beach with windsurfing and pedalos for hire. A great place for watersports or for taking a dip in the clean, cool waters. Off parc Venice is within easy reach and the enchanting Burano can also be visited by ferry.

Festivals here tend to have a seafaring theme, and include the international Vogalonga Boat Race in Venice on 30th Maym the Ascension Summer Festival on 15th May,which celebrates Venice's symbolic marriage to the sea and the Old Maritime Repuiblics Race in Venice on 5th June, between teams from Amalfi, Genoa and Venice itself.

Out and about

Visit the island of Burano, famous for its history of lacemaking and brightly-painted fishermen's houses, and Murano, a series of islands famous for glassmaking. Venice must be visited while you're here, recognised by many as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. If you're looking for a different type of day out, there's Jesolandia, an amusement park catering for all ages, as well as Aqualandia, home to Europe's tallest water slide.

Not exactly a pool but a health treatment centre - the Marino Club - with a sea view. A Membership card gives access to 3 heated Thalasso baths, a covered seaweed bath, as well as a spiced aromatic steam bath, multijet spa bath, a bubbling spa beach area, biosauna aromatherapy showers, a Japanese pool and an open-air roof solarium. There are also personal programmes for massages and beauty treatments for which there is a small charge.

Pools closed between 13:00 - 15:00, Aqua Park Laguna (over 6,000 msq) is the very first sand -bottomed swimming pool in a camping resort in Europe with over 1,000 metres of pure white sandy lagoon grotto, waterfall, water music, jet stream run, wild river, water castle, jacuzzi beds, solarium with silica sand, palm trees and the Barena bar. Entrance is included in the price of the holiday , Aqua Park Mare consisits of 3 pools - one for the family, a children's pool with a soft lining and a lazy river.

Local Directions

From the A4 Motorway: Take the Airport/Jesolo exit and follow directions towards 'Lido di Jesolo' for about 15 miles. At the second large Jesolo roundabout take the exit for 'Cavallino' (third exit) and continue along this road (the via Fausta) following signs for Cavallino and Punta Sabbione. Immediately after Jesolo is a large bridge. From here signs for all campsites are displayed. Continue along the road and pass through Cavallino again the campsite is signposted from here. The site is situated approx 1 mile after Cavallino on the left hand side
