Local Events

There are a host of festivals during July, August and September in Lagos, including the Feira da Arte Doce (sweets) and the Feira da Gastronomia (food and wine) and in September you can dance the night away at the Flamenco festival!

Out and about

The town of Quarteira is just about 2km away and has become one of the Algarve's premier resorts, with its long, sandy beach, its proximity to several championship golf courses and its charming meat and fish markets as well as a traditional Gypsy market. For a fun-filled family day out, why not visit Aquashow, situated in Quarteira itself? There's also Atlantic Park, another water park about 6km away, and Zoomarine - which is as it suggests, a marine-themed zoo - situated less than 30km from the parc.

Local Directions

Exit Faro airport and follows signs for A22 Faro, Portamao. After approximately 3km, come off at the junction signposted Loule, Lisbon, Portamao, Albufeira onto the IC4. Continue along the dual carriageway on the IC4 for approximately 4km. Turn off at junction marked N125 Almancil, Faro. Continue straight on the N125 signposted Albufeira, Quarteira for approximately 5km. Just after the BP garages on either side of the road turn left at the roundabout onto the N396. Continue along the N396, go straight over the 1st roundabout, and then at the 2nd roundabout take the 3rd exit signposted Centro, and follow the road all the way along until you reach the water fountain. At the water fountain, turn left onto Avenida Francisco Sa Cameiro. Follow the road for approximately 2km and turn right into CAMPING ORBITUR site directly opposite the Hotel Zodiaco.
