With a superb beach and pool complex on parc and a lively town close by, this is a favourite for families with older children.

The parc itself is picturesquely situated on a steep hillside close to a beautiful sandy cove. In addition to a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, it offers you fine views of the Mediterranean from the bar terrace, a good restaurant, excellent take-away, well-stocked supermarket and two excellent pools. All of the pitches are on terraces, some quite steep, and some with stunning views over the bay of nearby Palamós, and with some enjoying the shade; please note some road noise can be heard from some of our pitches . The superb beach nearby is safely accessible via some quite steep steps and a footbridge over the busy coast road: and there is even a little tractor-train to pick you up around the parc and take you down to the footbridge. Yet while everything you need is right here in the parc, many people particularly teenagers like to seek out evening entertainment by taking a stroll into the lively and fashionable resort of Playa d’Aro.

Local Events

Festivals range from the world-famous Barcelona Guitar Festival from 15th March to 15th June, to the rustic charms of the Snail Festival in Lleida from 20th to 22nd May. The European Balloon Festival in Igualada from 6th to 10th July on the other hand, is a spectacular display of around 40 hot air ballons from around the world.

Out and about

The lively and fashionable town of Playa d'Aro is just about 2km from the parc, and is perfect for finding evening entertainment if you wish to venture off-parc. Also close to the parc is the Aquadiver water park with various attractions suitable for all ages. For something a bit different, why not take a boat trip out to the uninhabited Medes Islands, where you can have a go at scuba diving? For history lovers, there's the Benedormiens Castle just over 4km away, and the ancient city of Girona, less than 40km away.

Visit this delightful little vineyard, not far from Playa D’Aro, and sample the local wine produced naturally by traditional Spanish methods. This family owned vineyard also produces oils, dried fruit and seasonal vegetables, and is set in a picturesque location.

Local Directions

From Barcelona: Exit A7 motorway at junction 9a following signs to 'Sant Feliu de Guixols'. Immediately after the peage join onto the C35. After approx 3km you will see signs to 'Lloret de Mar' to the right. You must stay in the left hand lane at this point in the direction of Sant Feliu. After approx 15 km the road will join with the C65 and become a dual carriageway. As signs for Platja D’aro begin to appear stay in the left hand lane. Continue along this road (NB at the Santa Cristina D’Aro the road becomes the C31). There are 3 exits for Platja D’Aro, take the 3rd 'Platja D’Aro Nord'. This exit is just after a large water park located on the right. As you exit the 'Platja D’Aro Nord' you will immediately pass a waterpark, 'aquadiver' on the right hand side. Continue down this road until you reach a roundabout. Turn left in the direction of 'Calonge'. Continue along this road for approx 1.5km. you will pass the hotel 'San Jorge' on the right and 'Camping Cala Go Go' on your left. Camping Internacional Calogne is immediately after Cala Go Go on the left. If travelling from the north/France use junction 7 Girona South following directions Costa Brava/St Feliu de Guixols
