With 28 miles of fantastic public beaches, as well as 3 miles of broadwalk and fishing peers, this lively seaside resort is the perfect holiday setting. With the numerous cafés, restaurants, bars and abundant water sport activities, there’s a whole host of things to see and do, all only a few minutes from the campsite.

Head to the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Centre where you’ll see a huge open-ocean aquarium, a loggerhead turtle hatchling lab and an amazing six-story-high Family Channel IMAX 3D Theatre. For some American history, the Old Cape Henry Lighthouse is well worth a visit and is located within the Fort Story military base, near the spot where Captain Newport raised a cross after crossing the Atlantic in 1607. If you fancy some action-packed fun, go to Virginia Beach Motor World where you can experience go-karting, paintball, climbing walls, skycoasters and mini golf. Back on the campsite, the campsite staff can help arrange deep-sea charters, dolphin-watching cruises and other excursions. There’s even American aircraft bases near to the campsite, however please note that occasional aircraft noise can be heard.
