Sightseeing

This parc is close to the Pont d'Arc (9km), with its beautiful views, lush scenery and prehistoric caves. You can try a variety of water sports including river canoeing and kayaking. There are also plenty of villages to explore and relax as you watch the world wander by. Why not try Labeaume which is only 5.3km away. Or go back in time and travel 13km to Le Château de Montréal , which is steeped in history with its Renaissance courtyard - you can even get married there!

The number one sightseeing spot has to be the Pont d’Arc – an awesome natural bridge almost 50 m high and only 9 km from the site. For a really spectacular view why not paddle underneath it in a canoe or kayak? You will get stunning views and lush scenery here as well as prehistoric caves which you must explore.

Tour de France

With gruelling routes covering some of France's most beautifully scenic regions, the Tour de France is an iconic cycle race, attracting huge crowds along the route. The Grand Départ of 2018 takes place on the 7th July starting on the Island of Noirmoutier. The early stages of the race go through the Vendée and Brittany regions. As usual there are exciting mountains stages in the French Alps and the Pyrenees.The races finishes in Paris on the 29th July.

Pays Ruomsois hosts lots of events during the summer months. For example, in early August there is the ‘Fête des Vignerons Ardéchois’ at Ruoms, which celebrates the wine making traditions of the Ardèche. 2018 dates to be confirmed.

Off Parc Activities

This campsite has direct access to a private beach where you can enjoy paddling, swimming and canoeing. If you enjoy canoeing then you can go on an excursion to Pont d’Arc or just explore by yourself. Fishing is also very popular in the area. Sampzon has lots of great trails for horse riding and biking. If you are looking for activities then mini-golf and archery are accessible from the parc.
