Great setting and facilities. Caravan was adequate. Could really do with a canopy over the decking rather than just a parasol. The parasol offered very little shade anyway, and the canopy would still have enabled us to use the outside space during a storm. Rent-a-tent accommodation had a canopy and it was much more practical

Ridiculous extra prices for using the swimming pool and mini golf and trampolines. Very little included which was very disappointing considering how much we had already paid. Terrible that no aircon and only one fan for 3 bedrooms. Rubbish.

The camp was very impressive and there were lots of activities on site to keep us entertained. The caravan was basic but has everything you need and was clean and tidy. Close to some small villages which had a few bars and restaurants. The only negative is that the swimming pool had a charge of €18 per person per day. You could have a discount if you booked every day for the whole duration of your holiday but it is still very expensive..

We had a fantastic family holiday in Austria staying in sport camp wolfergut. There are lots of interesting things to do / see in the local area and opportunities for day trips. We travelled with our family of 7... 2 adults 5 children 14,12,10,7,18 months
Things we did included...
- Berchtesgaden salt mines ( went here as you could take under 4s)
- eisriesenwelt ice cave ( lots of steps / bring gloves and jumpers, we managed this fine with an 18 month old in a baby carrier)
- werfen castle
- Krimml waterfalls ( it was q a hike up to the top, v steep, but worth it- was about 10km there and back and took us about 2 1/2 hours. Had toddler in carrier - not suitable for prams)
- Kitzsteinhorn - up in cable cars to snow! (Wrap up warm, good waterproof shoes useful)
- day trip to Salzburg
- Kaprun nearby town - alpine coaster
- Kaprun gorge walk ( Sigmund Thun I think it was called)

The main disappointment with the holiday was the swimming pool complex at the site. We had been eagerly watching its progress over the months leading up to our holiday and were delighted when it had opened just prior to our arrival however, we were very disappointed at the extortionate price for entry! People staying at the hotel get complementary access but those on the camp site have to pay. A day pass was 18 euros for adults ( which was anyone over 12!) and 6 euros for a child. There was a reduced rate of 6 euros/3 euros as a deal for the duration of your stay. I guess if you were staying for a short time or had a small family this would be ok ( ish) but we were there for 2 weeks and had 4 paying children ( 2 of which were over 12 ) so it cost us 84 euros for a single trip to a swimming pool and would have been 420 euros for the daily rate!!!! We did it once... pleasant enough pools x2 although they were all 1.2m / 1.3m deep which was nice for adults but too deep for my 7 year old to stand in. The toddler pool was lovely and in a separate room which was nice and warm and there was 1 slide that was q good. No life guards though and it was q tricky to keep an eye on everyone... all a bit stressful!
I think it needs to be made clear in the eurocamp literature that the pool complex is not free to use. The man on the desk did say that he thought it was a bit expensive for a day pass and that it was being trialed this summer - I guess it might be changed in the future. You also needed to pay 20 euros refundable deposit each for a wrist band which we didn’t realise and caused a bit of panic at the desk as we didn’t have enough money!!!
The washers / dryers were expensive 4 or 5 euros per token I think but they washed well and remarkably the dryers actually dried all the clothes ( a first for campsite dryers for me!) there was also space to hang clothes in the laundry room if it was wet outside.
The site was nice but the pitches were q close together and roads ( nicely paved) were narrow - had a small shop ( expensive) a couple of playgrounds, a ropes course, trampolines ( extra cost) and crazy golf ( extra cost)
WiFi worked q well but was extra cost about 25 Euro for 12 days (I think) per device

There was a little bit of road noise behind the eurocamp caravans but it didn’t really bother us.

It did get a little cool in the caravans at night ( we were there in July) we were glad of the blankets but duvets would have been nicer and certainly I would imagine end Aug / Sep it would be chilly at night.

To sum up... great place for holiday, lots to do, bring a mix of clothes ( needed warm stuff for up mountains etc ), good walking shoes were useful, light raincoats essential as there were some wetish days. If you have a Baby/toddler a baby carrier is nearly essential as the paths etc aren’t that Pram friendly. We took a lightweight buggy and our lillebaby carrier and this worked brilliantly. I had debated ( at length) bringing our all terrain buggy but really glad we didn’t - it would have been too bulky/heavy and not been suitable for paths anyway as they were steep/had lots of steps.

Also we were a bit anxious about ticks prior to our trip...Austria is a high prevalence area for Lyme disease and tick bourne encephalitis.
We brought smidge insect repellent, tick removal tweezers and stayed out of long grass - we didn’t see any at all - thankfully!! Actually this area of Austria is slightly less risky for TBE than some of the eastern parts.

Hope you find this review useful... enjoy

Austria is a beautiful country. Sportcamp Woferlgut provided an excellent base to access many of the different tourist activities in the vicinity. We were disappointed by the fact that access to the swimming facility was an additional cost and not included in the main price. The prices were extortionate at 18 euro for an adult and 9 euro for a child swim session. You could opt for the package which meant you had to pay a smaller fee for everyday that you were there working out at 6 euro per day for adults and 3 euro for children. However, a child over the age of 11yrs was classed as an adult! As we were there for 14 days, this all added up to a cost that was not initially budgeted for.
