The medieval capital of Brittany, Quimper, is worth the drive for a day's visit. A little closer is Pont Scorff with its popular zoo, and just 15 minutes drive from the parc is the market town of Quimperlé with narrow medieval streets, also excellent for restaurants. 35km from the site is Odet Loisirs at Elliant, an outdoor play park with an array of attractions including pedaloes and trampolines.

From tamarins to trampolines... Elliant’s Odet Loisirs has trampoliones galore with many other attractions and an outdoor play park. The tamarins, along with elephants, giraffes and co. are kept at Zoo de Pont-Scorff, under 10 km away. 



If the open road beckons then why not drive to Quimper. It is the medieval capital of Brittany brimming full of sights, restaurants and shops. Quimper should be high on your list for a visit, as should Pont Aven, ‘the artist’s town’.



If you want to stay close to the parc then Quimperlé also has charming medieval streets, cobbled steps, pretty bridges and excellent restaurants. The picturesque town is just waiting to be discovered.



Less than 50 km away is the town of Concarneau which also should be on your to-do list and really has something for everybody.

Tour de France

With gruelling routes covering some of France's most beautifully scenic regions, the Tour de France is an iconic cycle race, attracting huge crowds along the route. The Grand Départ of 2018 takes place on the 7th July starting on the Island of Noirmoutier. The early stages of the race go through the Vendée and Brittany regions. As usual there are exciting mountains stages in the French Alps and the Pyrenees.The races finishes in Paris on the 29th July.

This annual festival takes place in the heart of Lorient, Brittany every August and is dedicated to the age-old traditions of the Celtic nations. Pipe bands, gastronomy, fireworks, choirs, dance, theatre... This festival has all the ingredients for a fabulous atmosphere.

Fête des Fleurs d’Ajoncs

Pont-Aven is particularly beautiful during this festival when the yellow flower of Brittany, gorse, is celebrated along with the Breton culture on the first Sunday in August. This is a particularly traditional festival; there are age-old dances, parades, music and feasting.

Plouay is a must for cycling fans as lots of events are hosted here and it has been included in the Tour de France on several occasions.
